About the Role

The Ocean Freight Sales Assistant Manager will provide essential support to the sales team, focusing on ocean freight operations. Key responsibilities include assisting in client acquisition, managing existing client relationships, coordinating with internal teams for shipment documentation and tracking, and ensuring smooth execution of freight bookings. The role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies for ocean freight services.
• Manage client communications, inquiries, and provide updates on shipment status and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments (operations, customs, finance) to ensure seamless freight handling and client satisfaction.
• Contribute to the preparation of sales reports and analysis of market trends.
• Support the team in identifying new business opportunities and maintaining client retention.

Requirements

• Native or fluent proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and excellent English communication skills.
• Previous experience in a sales or customer service role within the logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation industry is highly desirable.
