About the Role

The Engineering Attendant - Carpenter plays a vital role in maintaining the hotel's physical infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of guest areas and back-of-house facilities. This position involves performing skilled carpentry work and general maintenance tasks to uphold the highest standards of the Mövenpick brand. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform skilled carpentry work including repairs, installations, and modifications to furniture, fixtures, and structural elements within guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and fixtures to minimize downtime and ensure functionality.
• Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of various building components, finishes, and systems.
• Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
• Collaborate effectively with other engineering and maintenance staff to address maintenance requests and projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to housekeeping and safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar maintenance role, demonstrating proficiency in carpentry techniques and tools.
• Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and basic electrical and plumbing principles relevant to maintenance tasks.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand project requirements.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and commitment to implementing safe work practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a cooperative attitude to foster positive working relationships.
