About the Role

• Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for complex, large-scale engineering projects within HTX's homeland security domain.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to development teams, fostering best practices in solution architecture and engineering excellence.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and operational units, to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and meet the highest standards of performance and maintainability.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and document comprehensive solution architectures, including high-level design, component specifications, and integration strategies.
• Oversee the technical execution of projects, ensuring alignment with the defined architecture and overall strategic goals.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide constructive feedback on designs and implementations across the engineering lifecycle.
• Resolve complex technical challenges and make critical decisions regarding technology selection and system design trade-offs.
• Contribute to the development of technical roadmaps and long-term planning for the engineering portfolio.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in software engineering and solution architecture, with a proven track record of delivering complex systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable distributed systems.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience guiding senior engineers and influencing technical direction.
• Deep understanding of modern software development practices, cloud platforms, and relevant programming paradigms.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant academic qualifications (e.g., Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field).
