Singtel inSingapore is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee finance and accounting activities for the business unit, ensuring timely monthly and quarterly closing processes while maintaining strict compliance with financial reporting standards. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting decision-making through accurate financial analysis and reporting.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end finance and accounting functions, including the preparation and review of financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings. Key duties encompass budget planning, cost control, internal controls implementation, and ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Coordinate and oversee the month-end and quarter-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business unit management in strategic planning and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual and special audit engagements.
  • Manage relationships with banking institutions and other financial stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
