About the Role
The Social Policy Officer (Innovative Finance) will provide technical expertise and strategic support to UNICEF Indonesia's social policy and finance teams. You will focus on developing and promoting innovative financing models, such as blended finance, social impact bonds, and results-based financing, to scale up effective social programs. Your work will involve analyzing policy frameworks, designing financial instruments, and advising on risk mitigation strategies to ensure sustainable and impactful investments in children's services.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain expertise on innovative finance mechanisms relevant to social policy and children's issues.
- Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of innovative financing initiatives aligned with national priorities and UNICEF's strategic objectives.
- Provide technical advice and capacity building to government counterparts, partners, and stakeholders on innovative finance approaches.
- Analyze policy and regulatory environments to identify opportunities and barriers for innovative financing in the social sector.
- Contribute to the development of proposals, reports, and presentations on innovative finance strategies for children.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to foster partnerships and secure funding for innovative projects.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master's level or equivalent) in social policy, economics, finance, public administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in social policy, finance, or international development, with a focus on innovative financing mechanisms.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating innovative financing models for social programs.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable policy recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders at national and international levels.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment and familiarity with Indonesian social policy and financial systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, results-oriented setting.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
