As a Finance Manager/Senior Manager within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team at Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and performance of this dynamic organization. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director (Finance), you will be instrumental in providing critical financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the SDC Group. This position offers a challenging opportunity to contribute to the financial health and future growth of a leading integrated resort and leisure destination developer.

About the Role

You will be a key member of the Finance Division's FP&A function, responsible for developing and implementing robust financial planning, forecasting, and analysis processes. Your work will directly inform business strategy and investment decisions. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including Operations, Marketing, and Development, to understand their financial needs and translate them into actionable financial plans and reports. This role requires a blend of analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to effectively present complex financial information to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage annual operating and capital expenditure budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial models.
  • Analyze financial performance against plans and budgets, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare comprehensive management reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders and senior management.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and group policies.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Division and other business units to understand operational requirements and translate them into financial plans.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Provide analytical support for business case development, investment appraisals, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, or a related finance role within a corporate environment.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and the use of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Understanding of corporate finance principles and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS).
