Description

You will serve as the building owner's project management representative for government office properties and estates, leading Additions & Alterations (A&A) and Repair & Redecorations (R&R) projects from inception to completion. This role involves direct oversight of project delivery, ensuring alignment with owner requirements, regulatory standards, and budget constraints within the Singapore government property portfolio. You will act as the primary liaison between the building owner, project stakeholders, and internal teams, driving projects efficiently and effectively.

About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to manage complex FM operations projects within a significant government property portfolio. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of A&A and R&R initiatives, ensuring projects meet quality, safety, and compliance standards while adhering to strict timelines and budgets. Your leadership will be crucial in delivering successful outcomes for government office buildings and estates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage A&A and R&R projects from initial concept through final handover, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and project management representative for the building owner, managing expectations and communication effectively.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, consultants, and government agencies to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and quality control.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and government procurement policies.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues early, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, reports, and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing A&A and R&R projects within a Facilities Management (FM) or property development environment, ideally within government or large corporate estates.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including government representatives and contractors.
  • Understanding of government property regulations, building codes, and procurement processes in Singapore.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in project management, engineering, or a related field are advantageous.
