DevOps Engineer

VELZI.AI LIMITED is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Jakarta. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines that ensure the reliability and high performance of our critical systems. Your expertise will be fundamental in driving continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, enabling seamless software delivery and operational excellence.

About the Role

You will be responsible for automating infrastructure provisioning, managing cloud environments (with a focus on Firebase Authentication, secure API gateways, and IAM policies), and optimizing system performance. Your work will directly support the development and deployment of backend services and APIs, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and resilient. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to operational best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software deployment.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Manage and optimize cloud-based environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
• Implement and enforce robust security practices, including IAM policies and API gateway security.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless operation.
• Monitor system health, performance, and logs to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of operational procedures and documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience managing Firebase Authentication, secure API gateways, and IAM policies.
• Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) concepts.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within an agile development environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
