T&L: Associate, Business Tax

About the Role

As a Tax Associate within our Business Tax Compliance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' tax strategies and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with senior professionals to deliver high-quality tax services, contributing to the success of our clients' financial operations and compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and compliance filings across various jurisdictions.
• Support tax planning initiatives and advisory projects for clients in the business sector.
• Conduct research and analysis on tax laws, regulations, and rulings relevant to assigned client matters.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to gather information, resolve queries, and ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of tax compliance processes and documentation.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss tax matters and findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active pursuit or completion of professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in tax computations and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in relevant tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of Malaysian tax laws and regulations (or willingness to learn).
