About the Role
The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining the electrical systems essential for docking operations. This includes supporting the coordination and execution of electrical tasks related to vessel berthing, ensuring all systems function correctly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment used in docking operations.
- Perform routine checks and troubleshooting on electrical components and machinery associated with docking.
- Collaborate with dock engineers and other personnel to ensure electrical systems support safe and efficient vessel handling.
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures rigorously to maintain a secure working environment.
- Contribute to the documentation and reporting of electrical system status and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical engineering or a related field is advantageous.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance or a similar role, preferably within a maritime or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures for working with electrical systems.
- Physical capability to perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, and working in various environmental conditions.
