Asset Operations Specialist

The Asset Operations Specialist will play a key role in managing and optimizing the operational performance of our energy infrastructure. This involves close collaboration with various departments to maintain asset integrity, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced, global environment.

About the Role

This position focuses on the day-to-day management and oversight of assigned energy assets. The specialist will be responsible for monitoring performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing operational best practices to maximize asset availability and minimize downtime. Effective communication and coordination with internal teams and external partners are essential to achieve operational goals and support our renewable energy objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on the operational performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) of assigned energy assets.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and ensure asset reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and project teams to implement asset optimization strategies and maintenance plans.
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company operational procedures.
• Contribute to the development and execution of asset management strategies aligned with EDP's renewable energy focus.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to asset operations and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in asset operations, maintenance, or a related field within the energy sector, preferably with a focus on renewable energy technologies.
• Strong understanding of energy asset management principles, including reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze operational data to drive improvements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in asset management or a related discipline.
