The Singapore Tourism Board(STB) is seeking a dedicated Contract Assistant Manager/Manager/Senior Manager to serve as an HR Business Partner (HRBP) for a 12-month maternity cover period. This critical role involves providing strategic HR support to senior leadership, heads of divisions, and heads of departments across the organization. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, helping to align HR strategies with business objectives and fostering a positive, productive work environment.
About the Role
This contract position is specifically designed to cover a period of maternity leave. The HRBP will be embedded within the STB's leadership structure, requiring a proactive approach to understanding diverse business needs and translating them into effective HR solutions. The focus will be on building strong relationships, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary HR Business Partner for assigned senior leaders and their teams, providing proactive and strategic advice on all people-related matters.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the achievement of business goals and objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on employment law, policies, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Collaborate closely with leaders to design and deliver effective talent management programs, including performance management, succession planning, and development initiatives.
- Facilitate communication between leadership and employees, addressing concerns and promoting a positive organizational culture.
- Contribute to the development and execution of HR plans and budgets.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts for key talent.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HRBP or similar strategic role.
- Proven track record of success in providing strategic HR advice and solutions to senior leadership and business managers.
- Deep understanding of Singapore employment law and HR practices.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills to build credibility and trust at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) are advantageous.
