This Deputy/Assistant Manager role within Environmental Protection & Sustainability is pivotal in ensuring our infrastructure development projects align with environmental stewardship and long-term sustainability goals. You will play a key part in shaping LTA's environmental strategy and implementing practical solutions to minimize the ecological footprint of our transport network.
**About the Role**
This position offers a significant opportunity to lead environmental initiatives within a dynamic public sector organization. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental protection and sustainability strategies across LTA's projects and operations. Your work will directly contribute to LTA's broader vision of creating a greener, more resilient transport system for Singapore.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and execute environmental protection and sustainability plans for LTA's transport infrastructure projects.
* Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and standards throughout project lifecycles.
* Conduct environmental impact assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation measures.
* Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and external stakeholders to integrate sustainable practices.
* Monitor environmental performance metrics and report on progress towards sustainability targets.
* Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams on environmental best practices.
* Foster partnerships and engage with relevant government agencies and industry bodies on sustainability matters.
**Requirements**
* A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in environmental management, sustainability, or a related field, with demonstrable experience in infrastructure or project environments.
* Proven ability to develop and implement environmental strategies and manage compliance.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
* Knowledge of Singapore's environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks is advantageous.
* Leadership potential to guide and mentor junior staff.
