AI Project Management Officer - SPX Express

In this position the AI Project Management Officer will be a pivotal driver of Shopee’s AI initiatives across the SPX Express platform in Jakarta, overseeing complex, multi‑disciplinary engineering programs that power new customer‑centric features. The role blends strategic program oversight with hands‑on project coordination, ensuring that AI‑powered solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with Shopee’s broader business objectives.

Program Leadership

• Own the end‑to‑end delivery of multiple AI‑driven feature development streams, from ideation through production and continuous improvement.
• Design and maintain comprehensive program roadmaps that map strategic objectives to tactical milestones.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams of engineers, data scientists, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Facilitate regular program reviews, stand‑ups, and stakeholder workshops to keep all parties informed of progress and risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocations, and dependency mappings.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as delivery velocity, quality metrics, and business impact.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, escalating issues to senior leadership when necessary.
• Ensure rigorous documentation of processes, decisions, and outcomes to support auditability and knowledge transfer.
• Champion the adoption of agile and DevOps practices to accelerate delivery cycles and improve team efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3‑5 years of experience managing large‑scale technology programs, preferably within AI, machine‑learning, or data analytics contexts.
• Strong proficiency in project management frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
• Analytical mindset with experience using data‑driven metrics to guide decision‑making.
