About the Role

The successful candidate will lead the planning, execution, and oversight of comprehensive facilities and asset management strategies across the campus. This encompasses the lifecycle management of buildings, infrastructure, and equipment, ensuring they meet operational, safety, and sustainability standards. The role involves collaborating closely with various stakeholders to enhance the campus environment and support the institution's academic and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement asset management policies, procedures, and standards aligned with institutional goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the procurement, maintenance, and disposal of capital assets, including buildings, plant, and equipment, to maximize value and minimize risk.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of facility upgrades, renovations, and new constructions projects.
  • Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of campus utilities, systems, and infrastructure (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, ICT networks).
  • Implement and monitor sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency measures across campus facilities.
  • Manage budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability for facilities and asset management activities.
  • Lead a team of professionals in facilities management, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work culture.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to understand and address their facilities needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, asset management, or a related discipline, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in managing capital projects, budgets, and teams within a complex institutional environment.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance practices, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, safety standards, and sustainability practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
