Description

The Land Transport Authority(LTA) in Singapore seeks a Manager, Facility Management & Operations to lead the strategic oversight of the Authority's building and facility assets. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, this role involves managing a team of facility executives and coordinating service contractors to ensure the efficient and effective operation of LTA's premises. The position focuses on maintaining high standards of facility management, implementing operational best practices, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements across LTA's facilities.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the comprehensive management of LTA's building and facility assets, ensuring they support the Authority's core functions. This includes overseeing maintenance activities, managing service contracts, implementing operational strategies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the facility management team. The role requires strong leadership to guide the team and contractors towards achieving operational excellence and maintaining a safe, functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of facility executives and coordinate service contractors for the upkeep and maintenance of LTA's buildings and facilities.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure the efficient and effective management of facility assets and resources.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules, repair works, and upgrades to maintain facility standards and functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards across all managed facilities.
  • Manage service contracts, vendor relationships, and procurement processes for facility-related services.
  • Monitor facility performance metrics and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand facility needs and align management practices with business objectives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in facility management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing teams and contractors.
  • Proven track record in managing building maintenance, repairs, and facility operations in a corporate or public sector environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of facility executives and contractors.
  • Excellent knowledge of facility management best practices, building systems, and maintenance protocols.
  • Experience in contract management, vendor coordination, and procurement processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to achieve facility management goals.
  • Understanding of relevant safety regulations and compliance requirements.
