The NationalLibrary Board (NLB) is dedicated to nurturing Readers for Life, Learning Communities and a Knowledgeable Nation. This mission is achieved by promoting reading, learning and history through a network of 28 libraries across Singapore. The Senior Manager/Manager (Digital Readiness Office) plays a pivotal role in advancing this mission by leading the development and implementation of digital strategies and initiatives that enhance library services and community engagement.
About the Role
This position is central to ensuring NLB's digital transformation and readiness. The successful candidate will lead efforts to integrate digital technologies and innovative approaches into library operations, programs, and outreach, ensuring the organization remains responsive to evolving community needs and leverages digital platforms effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital strategies and roadmaps aligned with NLB's overall goals and the evolving digital landscape.
- Lead and manage a team responsible for digital readiness initiatives, including content development, platform management, and user experience enhancement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., library branches, program teams) and external partners to identify opportunities for digital innovation and ensure seamless integration of digital solutions.
- Monitor digital trends and emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on library services and community engagement.
- Drive the adoption of digital tools and platforms to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and accessibility for library users.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Information Management, Library Science, Communications, Business Administration).
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in a leadership role, preferably within the library, information management, or a related digital services environment.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing digital strategies, managing digital projects, and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of digital trends, user experience principles, and emerging technologies relevant to library services and community engagement.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex digital concepts clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment and drive change effectively.
