You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive consumer insights strategy that spans quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.

About the Role

You will build and lead the consumer insights function, establishing best practices and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making. Your expertise will be crucial in translating complex research findings into actionable insights that directly inform product development, marketing strategies, and overall brand positioning. This is a senior leadership position requiring vision and the ability to influence key stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the end-to-end consumer insights strategy, including research design, execution, and analysis.
  • Lead and mentor a team of researchers, ensuring high-quality output and continuous skill development.
  • Own and interpret quantitative data (surveys, analytics) and qualitative insights (interviews, focus groups) to identify customer needs, behaviors, and market trends.
  • Conduct and oversee brand tracking studies to measure brand health and perception over time.
  • Develop detailed customer segmentation models to identify distinct consumer groups and their specific requirements.
  • Actively translate insights into clear recommendations and strategic initiatives for product, marketing, and innovation teams.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders (Product, Marketing, Sales) to ensure insights are effectively integrated into business plans.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in consumer insights, market research, or a related field, with a proven track record in leading research functions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing both quantitative and qualitative research projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into compelling narratives and strategic recommendations.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management abilities, with a focus on developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational change based on research findings.
  • Experience in developing customer segmentation strategies and brand tracking methodologies.
  • Advanced degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, or a related quantitative field is highly desirable.
