About the Role
You will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to acquire the necessary resources for YKAN's conservation projects. This involves building and nurturing relationships with potential donors, corporations, and foundations, identifying new funding opportunities, and crafting compelling proposals and campaigns to communicate the importance of conservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute fundraising plans aligned with YKAN's strategic goals and budget requirements.
- Identify, prospect, and cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and grant-making organizations.
- Prepare and submit grant applications, sponsorship proposals, and donor reports as required.
- Organize and participate in fundraising events, campaigns, and outreach activities to raise awareness and funds.
- Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and contributions using relevant systems.
- Collaborate with YKAN's communications and program teams to ensure consistent messaging and impact reporting.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Business, Communications, or Nonprofit Management.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in fundraising, grant writing, or development roles, preferably within the conservation or nonprofit sector.
- Demonstrated ability to research and identify potential funding sources and prospects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and persuade diverse audiences.
- Experience in developing compelling narratives and proposals for funding bodies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.
- Passion for conservation and a commitment to YKAN's mission.
