You will be the frontline resource for resolving technical issues, maintaining system stability, and ensuring all office technology functions optimally to support our business objectives.

About the Role

The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for providing expert technical assistance to employees across the organization. This involves diagnosing and resolving a wide range of hardware and software issues encountered on office computers, peripherals, and network connections. A significant part of the role focuses on proactive monitoring and routine maintenance to prevent disruptions and ensure the reliability of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and effective troubleshooting for hardware failures (including computers, monitors, and printers) and software malfunctions.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, driver installations, and system checks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond to and resolve user-reported technical issues via phone, email, or in-person support, documenting all incidents thoroughly.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of new hardware and software deployments.
  • Collaborate with other IT support teams to escalate complex issues and coordinate solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of preventive maintenance schedules for office equipment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in providing technical support for office IT environments, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles and peripheral devices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
