About the Role
You will be an integral part of the Western Cuisine kitchen team, supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in delivering high-quality, consistent dishes that meet our standards and guest expectations. This position offers a foundation for developing your culinary skills and understanding of Western cuisine operations.Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Western cuisine dishes according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the Western Cuisine section.
- Ensure all food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Support the team in managing food costs and minimizing waste through efficient practices.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the Western Cuisine section during service periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant environment, preferably in Western cuisine.
- Basic understanding of Western culinary techniques and knife skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team environment.
- Strong commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
