About the Role

The Lead Process Safety Engineer will be responsible for providing expert leadership and technical guidance on process safety matters. You will develop and implement robust safety management systems, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulatory requirements. This position involves mentoring junior engineers, fostering a strong safety culture, and leading complex safety investigations and audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of process safety management systems.
• Conduct thorough process safety audits and risk assessments for existing and new projects.
• Provide expert technical advice on process safety engineering principles and best practices.
• Lead incident investigations and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with project teams, operations, and regulatory bodies to ensure safe project execution.
• Mentor and develop junior process safety engineers within the team.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in process safety engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proven experience leading process safety initiatives in the oil, gas, chemicals, or related industries.
• Professional engineering registration (e.g., PE, CEng) or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Extensive knowledge of process safety standards (e.g., IEC 61511, ISO 31000, OSHA PSM) and risk assessment methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to travel extensively within Indonesia and potentially internationally for project assignments.
