About the Role
You will be responsible for leading the banquet kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food and service for all catered events. This involves managing a team of culinary professionals, developing and executing banquet menus, maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring operational efficiency to meet guest expectations and company objectives.Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and supervise all banquet kitchen activities, including menu development, food preparation, and service execution.
- Lead and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring proper training and development.
- Maintain rigorous standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency across all banquet events.
- Manage inventory, control food costs, and ensure proper utilization of resources to meet budgetary goals.
- Ensure compliance with all local health and safety regulations, including sanitation and food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with event planners and sales teams to understand client needs and tailor banquet offerings accordingly.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring functionality and safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef, preferably within a high-volume banquet or hotel environment.
- Extensive knowledge of diverse culinary techniques, menu planning, and food cost control.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and motivate a team effectively.
- Deep understanding of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, local health codes) and sanitation practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of staff and management.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or extensive hands-on experience.
