Description
Celesticais seeking a dedicated Production Cell Leader 5 to oversee operations within our Kulim, Kedah facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of our products within the assigned cell, contributing directly to our operational excellence and customer satisfaction goals. The Production Cell Leader 5 will report to the Production Manager and play a key role in driving performance and continuous improvement within the cell.
About the Role
The Production Cell Leader 5 is responsible for leading a team of production operators within a specific cell or line. This position requires a blend of technical production knowledge, leadership skills, and a strong focus on operational efficiency and quality standards. The role involves direct supervision of the cell's daily activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, procedures, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of production operators, providing clear direction and coaching to achieve daily production targets and quality objectives.
- Monitor and optimize cell performance metrics, including productivity, yield, and quality indicators, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure strict adherence to all established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and environmental policies within the cell.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Maintenance, Quality Assurance) to resolve production issues and support problem-solving initiatives.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, address concerns, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and support the implementation of new processes or technologies within the cell.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven track record of leading teams to achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills to effectively manage team dynamics and cross-functional relationships.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on safety and quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Operations Management) is preferred.
