TheCivil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) seeks a dedicated Deputy Manager / Manager for its Stakeholder Engagement section within the Safety Policy and Planning Division (SPP). This pivotal role is fundamental to advancing aviation safety across Singapore's skies by fostering robust relationships and collaboration with diverse aviation stakeholders. You will play a significant part in promoting aviation safety and supporting the regulatory framework that underpins safe air operations.
About the Role
You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies to engage effectively with key aviation stakeholders, including airlines, airports, aircraft manufacturers, maintenance organizations, and regulatory bodies. Your work will focus on facilitating communication, gathering valuable input, and building consensus to enhance safety standards and regulatory compliance within the aviation sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans to promote aviation safety and regulatory objectives.
- Facilitate productive dialogue and collaboration between the CAA and various aviation stakeholders.
- Provide expert input and analysis on safety policy and regulatory matters to internal and external audiences.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of safety regulations and standards.
- Monitor industry developments and stakeholder perspectives to inform safety policy decisions.
- Represent the CAA in meetings and forums related to aviation safety and regulation.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as aviation management, safety science, law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in aviation safety, regulatory affairs, or stakeholder engagement.
- Proven experience in developing and managing stakeholder engagement strategies within a regulatory environment.
- Deep understanding of aviation safety regulations, standards, and industry practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across different divisions.
