About the Role
The Research Fellow will be integral to the Electrocatalysis research program, providing essential technical support and analytical capabilities. The position involves close collaboration with senior researchers and other team members to design, conduct, and document experiments related to electrocatalytic systems. A strong foundation in solid-state physics or inorganic chemistry is crucial for understanding the fundamental mechanisms underpinning electrocatalytic reactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the procurement of specialized materials and equipment necessary for electrocatalysis research.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of research materials and maintain accurate records.
- Produce high-quality, well-structured reports and documents that clearly consolidate and present research findings and experimental data.
- Contribute to the design, execution, and troubleshooting of electrocatalytic experiments, adhering to stringent safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed and organized laboratory notebooks and electronic records of all research activities.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of research proposals and manuscripts.
Requirements
- PhD qualification in Solid-State Physics, Inorganic Chemistry, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of two years of relevant research experience in electrocatalysis, solid-state chemistry, or inorganic chemistry.
- Proven ability to conduct independent research and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical skills and a meticulous approach to experimental work and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for producing clear technical reports and documents.
- Experience with laboratory techniques relevant to solid-state synthesis, characterization (e.g., spectroscopy), and electrocatalysis is highly desirable.
