About the Role

The PC ID Asst Manufacturing Manager Processing Oral Care is responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of the processing lines dedicated to oral care products. This involves ensuring production targets are met while maintaining stringent quality standards, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols. The role acts as a key link between the processing team and higher management, driving performance and implementing best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the processing team, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and fostering a positive, safety-focused work culture.
  • Plan, coordinate, and optimize production schedules to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets for oral care product output.
  • Implement and maintain robust quality control processes to ensure all products meet Unilever's stringent quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction within the processing department.
  • Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with established safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve equipment issues and support production needs.
  • Prepare and analyze production reports, providing insights for decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial), Food Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in manufacturing operations, preferably within the food, beverage, or consumer goods sector, with a focus on processing.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing production teams and leading process optimization projects.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management systems (e.g., GMP, HACCP), and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to lead teams and collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, to support production needs.
