About the Role
You will serve as a key member of the Global Operations legal team, acting as the primary legal advisor for Construction and Infrastructure projects and operations within the APAC region. This position demands a proactive approach to legal challenges, requiring the ability to anticipate issues and provide practical, business-focused solutions. You will collaborate closely with senior management, project leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure legal integrity and support strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and support on a wide range of matters impacting Construction and Infrastructure operations in the APAC region, including contract negotiation, drafting, and management.
- Assist in the development, review, and implementation of policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks relevant to construction projects and infrastructure activities.
- Manage and mitigate legal and regulatory risks associated with construction contracts, project execution, and compliance with local and international laws.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., project managers, procurement, finance) and external counsel to resolve complex legal issues efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to Micron's global legal standards, policies, and ethical guidelines across APAC operations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes and documentation related to construction and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Admission to a state bar association in a relevant jurisdiction (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, etc.) or equivalent legal qualification.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive legal experience, with significant exposure to construction law, project development, and infrastructure matters.
- Proven experience advising on complex commercial contracts, particularly within the construction and infrastructure sectors.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable advice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Understanding of the unique legal and regulatory challenges faced by multinational corporations operating in the APAC region.
