The Land Transport Authority(LTA) in Singapore seeks a highly skilled Senior Transport Scientist/Planner to join its Strategic Planning (SPL) division. About the Role

You will be at the forefront of strategic transport planning, translating broad policy objectives into concrete initiatives. This involves conducting in-depth research, modeling future scenarios, and evaluating the potential impacts of various transport policies and investments. Your work will directly influence the development of Singapore's transport blueprint, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of its population and economy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate strategic transport plans and policies for Singapore's future.
  • Conduct research and analysis on transport trends, demand patterns, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Operations, Engineering) and external agencies (e.g., Ministry of Transport, other government bodies) to align planning efforts.
  • Utilize data analytics and modeling tools to assess the feasibility and impact of proposed transport solutions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate complex findings to diverse audiences.
  • Contribute to the development of Singapore's long-term transport vision and roadmap.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in transport planning, strategic analysis, or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing transport strategies, policies, or plans.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, modeling, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex projects within tight deadlines.
