Description

The Land TransportAuthority (LTA) in Singapore is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional for the role of Senior/Executive/Engineer in Road Construction. About the Role

You will be responsible for the end-to-end management and supervision of complex road construction projects. This encompasses overseeing all phases from detailed planning and design coordination through to rigorous quality control, effective resource management, and timely project delivery. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring these projects meet stringent safety standards, adhere to regulatory requirements, and are completed within budget and schedule constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the construction activities for major road projects including new roads, expressways, interchanges, flyovers, and underpasses.
  • Supervise on-site construction work, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project alignment.
  • Monitor project progress, manage resources effectively, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain quality control and identify potential delays or deviations.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, reports, and budgets.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Proven experience in managing and supervising road construction projects, ideally within a public sector or large infrastructure context.
  • Strong knowledge of road construction techniques, materials, and standards relevant to Singapore.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and liaise with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of project management principles and relevant software tools.
