External Listings seeks a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Manager to oversee the financial health of our accounts receivable portfolio. Based in Surabaya, this role is pivotal in ensuring the timely collection of outstanding invoices and maintaining robust cash flow for our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of credit principles and a commitment to minimizing bad debt exposure while fostering positive customer relationships.
About the Role
This position involves direct management of the day-to-day accounts receivable functions, requiring meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills. The Credit Manager will collaborate closely with sales and finance teams to implement and enforce credit policies, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoice generation, dispatch, and reconciliation.
- Initiate and conduct timely follow-ups on overdue accounts to expedite collections.
- Analyze credit risk and assess customer payment behavior to inform credit decisions.
- Develop and maintain accurate credit policies and procedures aligned with business objectives.
- Report on receivables performance, aging reports, and delinquency trends to management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks governing credit and collections.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in credit management, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of credit risk assessment methodologies and debt recovery processes.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
