About the Role

You will operate and maintain a range of cleaning equipment and tools, including the commercial dish washing machine, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor. Your primary focus will be on ensuring all items are cleaned to the highest standards of sanitation and presented ready for use. This position requires a commitment to teamwork, reliability, and adherence to established safety and hygiene protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the commercial dish washing machine and hand wash stations efficiently and safely.
• Scrub pots, pans, and other heavy-duty items by hand using the designated pot-scrubbing station.
• Manage the trash compactor and ensure all waste areas are kept clean and organized.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the shift, including sinks and storage areas.
• Follow all established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines meticulously.
• Support the kitchen team by ensuring all necessary clean items are readily available.
• Report any maintenance issues or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dishwashing or similar cleaning role within a food service environment is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks requiring bending, lifting, and stretching.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
