This role offers the opportunity to provide critical technical support for HPE's EX and QFX switching platforms within a dynamic, remote-friendly environment. As a Staff-level engineer, you will be a key resource for resolving complex technical issues and ensuring the smooth operation of these high-performance network solutions. Your expertise will directly impact the reliability and performance of HPE's customer infrastructure, contributing to the success of the organization's networking division.
**About the Role**
You will serve as a primary escalation point for regional and overflow technical support cases related to HPE's EX and QFX switching products. Your deep understanding of these platforms will be essential for diagnosing intricate hardware and software issues, developing effective workarounds, and implementing permanent solutions. You will collaborate closely with other technical teams to maintain and enhance the department's knowledge base, ensuring accurate and timely information is available to support staff.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide expert technical support for HPE EX and QFX switching platforms, resolving complex issues and managing critical escalations.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems, developing and implementing effective solutions.
* Contribute to the development, maintenance, and accuracy of the department's knowledge base and technical documentation.
* Collaborate with regional support teams and other technical specialists to ensure consistent and high-quality support delivery.
* Stay current with the latest advancements in HPE switching technology and related networking protocols.
**Requirements**
* Proven experience supporting HPE EX and QFX switching platforms, including troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues.
* Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, VLANs, and IP addressing.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical scenarios.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote or hybrid work setting.
* Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis is highly desirable.
