About the Role

The Group Head of Connection Planning will lead the development and execution of integrated communication strategies that connect brands with their audiences in meaningful ways. This position sits at the intersection of insight, creativity, and performance, guiding cross‑functional teams to ensure that every touchpoint is purpose‑driven, measurable, and aligned with business objectives. The role requires a blend of strategic vision, analytical rigor, and collaborative leadership to shape how WPP Media engages consumers across platforms and markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and champion a holistic connection planning framework that integrates audience insights, media strategy, and performance analytics.
  • Lead a team of connection planners, providing coaching, mentorship, and clear direction to enhance capability and output quality.
  • Collaborate with creative, media, and data science teams to translate consumer insights into actionable connection concepts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for brand engagement.
  • Present comprehensive performance reports and ROI analyses to senior leadership, demonstrating the impact of connection initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in connection planning or integrated communications within a fast‑paced advertising or marketing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in interpreting audience data and translating it into strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and cross‑functional partners.
  • Deep understanding of digital, social, and traditional media ecosystems, and how they interconnect to drive brand performance.
