About the Role

The Manager of Turbine Support will lead a team dedicated to the efficient and effective operation of critical turbine systems. This role involves direct oversight of maintenance schedules, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing best practices to maximize uptime and performance. The manager will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and field technicians to ensure all turbine support activities align with safety standards and company objectives. Success in this role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of turbine support technicians and engineers, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal turbine performance and minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Proactively identify potential issues, diagnose root causes, and coordinate effective solutions for turbine system malfunctions or failures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and procurement, to optimize resource allocation and project execution.
  • Ensure all turbine support activities strictly adhere to established safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify trends, recommend improvements, and drive efficiency gains.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in turbine operations, maintenance, or a related technical field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven track record of managing maintenance teams, scheduling, and troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of turbine systems, including combustion, hydraulics, and electrical components, and their interdependencies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including potential weekend or emergency call coverage, as required by operational needs.
