GSS Junior Analyst

The GroupScreening Service (GSS) team at Shell provides essential third-party screening services to support the Legal business unit. As a Junior Analyst within GSS, you will play a key part in supporting the screening process for potential employees and contractors, contributing to the smooth functioning of Shell's legal and compliance framework.

About the Role

You will be responsible for supporting the GSS team's core function of conducting background checks and verifying information for individuals associated with Shell's Legal business unit. This involves processing applications, reviewing documentation, and ensuring adherence to established procedures and legal requirements. Your work will directly support Shell's commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and processing of background screening requests for potential employees and contractors.
• Review and verify submitted documentation (e.g., identification, qualifications, references) against established criteria.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of screening activities within the GSS system.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding screening status and requirements.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of screening processes and documentation standards.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant local laws, regulations, and Shell's internal policies.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a relevant field such as Law, Business Administration, Criminology, or a related discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing information.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Basic proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
