Principal Engineer, Intelligence Analytics System & Anti Scam, Intel PMC

The Principal Engineer, IntelligenceAnalytics System & Anti Scam role within the Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTSSTA) in Singapore offers a pivotal opportunity to lead the technical development and implementation of critical ICT solutions supporting national intelligence and security objectives. This position reports directly to the Intel PMC Director and Deputy Director, playing a central role in shaping the technical strategy and execution for the Intelligence Analytics System and Anti Scam initiatives.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing strategic technical leadership and oversight for the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of the Intelligence Analytics System and Anti Scam ICT infrastructure. This involves collaborating closely with senior leadership, intelligence analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into robust, scalable, and secure technical solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in driving innovation and ensuring the systems effectively support the agency's core mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture, design, and implementation of the Intelligence Analytics System and Anti Scam platforms.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to the technical team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including intelligence analysts, operational units, and other government agencies, to define technical requirements and ensure solutions align with operational needs.
• Oversee the development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices, security standards, and project timelines.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities and operational effectiveness.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of technical policies, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in software engineering, system architecture, or a related technical field, with significant experience in developing and managing large-scale, mission-critical ICT systems.
• Proven track record of leading technical teams and projects, demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.
• Deep expertise in designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable ICT systems, preferably within a government or intelligence context.
• Extensive experience with relevant technologies including cloud platforms, data analytics tools, and secure development practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in engineering or a related discipline.
