The Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) seeks a dedicated Academic Staff member to contribute to its pioneering cybersecurity education programs. About the Role

You will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate cybersecurity courses, developing engaging curricula, and fostering a stimulating learning environment. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with industry partners and contribute to research initiatives within the field of cybersecurity education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive cybersecurity modules and programs aligned with industry standards and academic excellence.
  • Conduct lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions to effectively impart knowledge and skills in cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Assess student performance through examinations, assignments, projects, and other appropriate methods.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and review processes to ensure relevance and alignment with evolving cybersecurity trends.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and knowledge sharing within the cybersecurity domain.
  • Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, fostering their professional growth and development.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree or PhD in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Proven teaching experience at the tertiary level, demonstrating effectiveness in curriculum delivery and student engagement.
  • Demonstrated expertise in core cybersecurity domains such as network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, and security management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary academic team.
