Description

In this senior capacity you will play a central role in delivering robust financial support for the Institute of Technical Education’s student body, blending operational excellence with a drive for continuous improvement across financial processes. You will also mentor junior team members, champion a culture of continuous improvement, and contribute to strategic planning for fiscal sustainability. The position serves as a senior executive within the finance operations department, acting as a bridge between finance, academic units, and governance bodies to ensure transparent, accurate, and compliant handling of all student‑related financial matters. Direct the end‑to‑end processing of tuition fees, ancillary charges, scholarship disbursements, and government subsidies, ensuring timely and error‑free execution. Reconcile and audit student account ledgers, maintaining meticulous records for internal and external reporting. Develop and present periodic financial dashboards that track revenue, expenditure, and cash flow trends relative to student populations. Lead initiatives to streamline financial workflows, employing best‑in‑class practices and technological enhancements to increase efficiency. Coordinate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations for audit findings. Supervise junior finance staff, offering guidance, training, and performance feedback. Liaise with academic deans and student services to resolve billing disputes, payment plan arrangements, and financial aid queries. Monitor compliance with financial policies, statutory regulations, and internal controls, escalating risks as appropriate. Participate in budgeting cycles and forecasting activities to align financial resources with institutional goals. A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required, together with three to five years of progressive experience in financial administration, preferably within an educational or training environment. Proficiency in financial management systems, ERP platforms, and advanced Microsoft Excel functions is essential. Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a problem‑solving orientation are required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels, are required.
