Laundry Attendant- Courtyard by Marriott Manado Courtyard by Marriott Manado invites dedicated individuals to join our Housekeeping & Laundry team as a Laundry Attendant. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our laundry facilities, directly contributing to the comfort and satisfaction of our guests. You will be responsible for managing the entire laundry process, from initial sorting to final delivery, with a focus on efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety protocols. About the Role As a Laundry Attendant, you will be the backbone of our laundry operations, ensuring all linens, uniforms, and guest items are cleaned to the highest standards. Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential. You will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation standards expected by our guests and the Courtyard brand. Key Responsibilities * Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding detergents, softeners, and other specified chemicals. * Monitor machine cycles, adjust settings as needed, and ensure proper loading and unloading procedures. * Identify stained, damaged, or non-washable items and report them promptly to the supervisor. * Clean and maintain lint traps, filters, and other machine components according to safety and maintenance schedules. * Sort and pre-treat laundry items based on fabric type, soil level, and care instructions. * Ensure all laundry is folded, packaged, and stored correctly and efficiently. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all housekeeping and safety regulations. * Assist with other housekeeping duties as required by the department. Requirements * Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred. * Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions clearly. * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. * Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move heavy loads (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks. * Basic knowledge of laundry operations and equipment. * Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. * Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
