About the Role

You will be responsible for the overall culinary direction and execution of all banquet operations within the hotel. This includes menu development, food preparation, kitchen management, staff supervision, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation for large-scale events. Your leadership will directly impact the guest experience and the success of the banquet department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute banquet menus that align with guest preferences and hotel standards.
  • Oversee all aspects of banquet food preparation, cooking, and presentation for events of varying sizes.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering, and cost management for banquet services.
  • Lead, train, and mentor the banquet kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with event planners and other departments to coordinate seamless banquet service.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to banquet operations and food costs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef, preferably within a high-volume hotel or banquet setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
  • li>Extensive culinary expertise and creativity in menu planning and food preparation.
  • Deep knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP principles, and kitchen sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities during busy events.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff, guests, and other departments.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or extensive hands-on experience.
