About the Role

The Account Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate financial records. This role involves direct interaction with customers to resolve inquiries, negotiate payment plans, and build lasting relationships. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting our team's objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Process daily accounting transactions including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
• Manage customer accounts by tracking payments, following up on overdue invoices, and resolving billing discrepancies.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, debtors, and potential debtors through effective communication.
• Provide prompt and professional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns regarding account status.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar accounting or customer service role, preferably within finance or banking.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
