Deputy/ Assistant Cost Control Manager (Civil) Land Transport Authority, Singapore This role offers a pivotal opportunity to contribute to the delivery of Singapore's critical rail and road infrastructure projects. As a Deputy or Assistant Cost Control Manager within the Land Transport Authority's Planning & Construction (P&C) division, you will play a vital part in ensuring the financial integrity and efficiency of major civil engineering contracts. Your work will directly support the Authority's strategic objectives in developing and maintaining a world-class land transport system. **Key Responsibilities** * Manage and monitor costs across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering contracts, including rail and road projects. * Develop and implement robust cost control processes, methodologies, and reporting frameworks. * Analyze project costs, variances, and forecasts to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. * Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve cost-related issues and negotiate solutions. * Prepare and present comprehensive cost reports and recommendations to senior management and project teams. * Ensure compliance with relevant cost control standards, regulations, and internal policies. * Support the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender evaluations for new projects. **Requirements** * A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. * Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cost control, project cost management, or quantity surveying within the construction or infrastructure sectors. * Proven experience managing costs on civil engineering projects, particularly in rail or road infrastructure. * Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost estimation techniques, and project financial management. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills. * Ability to communicate complex cost information clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Proficiency with standard cost control software and Microsoft Office suite. This position requires a proactive individual with a meticulous approach to detail and a commitment to driving cost efficiency within large-scale infrastructure projects.
