At the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), the Community Strategies and Insights (CSI) team plays a critical role in advancing Singapore's social cohesion goals. This position, within the Community Relations and Engagement Division, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of strategies that foster unity and resilience across Singapore's diverse communities. The Assistant Director (Community Strategies) will be instrumental in shaping the division's approach to understanding community dynamics and translating insights into actionable initiatives. **About the Role** The Assistant Director (Community Strategies) will lead the development and execution of community engagement strategies aimed at strengthening social bonds and addressing emerging community needs. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to design, monitor, and evaluate programs that promote inclusivity and shared values. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and analytical support to ensure the division's efforts effectively contribute to national social cohesion objectives. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop and implement comprehensive community engagement strategies aligned with MCCY's social cohesion priorities. * Lead research and analysis initiatives to understand community trends, needs, and perceptions, providing actionable insights. * Design, manage, and evaluate community programs and initiatives focused on fostering social cohesion and resilience. * Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, NGOs, and other government agencies. * Provide strategic advice and support to senior leadership on community engagement matters. * Contribute to the development of policies and frameworks supporting community development. **Requirements** * A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, community development, public policy, or a related discipline. * Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in community development, social cohesion, or a related field, with significant experience in strategy development and program management. * Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate community engagement initiatives. * Strong analytical skills and experience in conducting research and translating insights into actionable strategies. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus and collaborate effectively across diverse groups. * Demonstrated understanding of Singapore's social landscape and community issues. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
