Manager, Data Governance

We seek a Manager, Data Governance to help us achieve this vision by ensuring our data assets are managed responsibly and effectively across our operations in Kuala Lumpur. **About the Role** You will lead the development and implementation of robust data governance frameworks and policies. This role involves establishing standards for data quality, security, and compliance to support informed decision-making and regulatory adherence. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed data governance principles into business processes and ensure alignment with Prudential’s strategic objectives. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop and maintain comprehensive data governance policies, procedures, and standards. * Oversee data quality initiatives to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems. * Implement and enforce data security and privacy measures in compliance with relevant regulations. * Provide expert guidance on data management best practices to business stakeholders. * Monitor and report on data governance performance metrics and compliance status. * Foster a culture of data stewardship and accountability within the organization. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role. * Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies. * Strong understanding of data quality management, data security, and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies. * Experience working in a regulated financial services environment is advantageous.
