About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to enhance Crane Worldwide Logistics' market share and revenue streams. This involves developing and implementing strategic plans to penetrate new markets, build strong client relationships, and foster partnerships that align with the company's global objectives. The role requires a proactive approach to market analysis and a commitment to delivering exceptional service that meets the evolving needs of clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales targets and market expansion goals within the Surabaya region and broader Indonesian market.
  • Identify potential clients and partners through market research, industry networking, and targeted outreach, focusing on freight forwarding, logistics, and related services.
  • Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key decision-makers in existing and prospective client organizations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, marketing) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform strategic decisions and refine business development approaches.
  • Prepare and present compelling business proposals and presentations to potential clients and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing initiatives aimed at increasing brand visibility and attracting new business.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Sales & Marketing within the Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Transportation industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage business development strategies that drive revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients and partners.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a keen understanding of market dynamics and competitive landscapes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Relevant bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
