Advocate Health Care seeks a dedicated IT Technical Support Administrator Associate to ensure the optimal functioning of our Health Information Technology (HIT) environment and provide comprehensive end-user support. This critical role involves managing the configuration, installation, maintenance, upgrades, and retirement of both hardware and software systems, all while maintaining a 24/7 support commitment to meet the evolving needs of our healthcare providers and staff.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be a key member of our IT support team, responsible for maintaining the stability and security of our HIT infrastructure. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, coupled with a strong understanding of IT systems within a healthcare setting. The role demands flexibility to provide round-the-clock support coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-user support for HIT systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Perform hardware and software configuration, installation, maintenance, upgrades, and retirement.
- Ensure the HIT environment operates at peak performance and security standards.
- Contribute to 24/7 support coverage as required.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to address complex system problems.
- Document support activities and system changes accurately.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in IT support, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of IT systems within a healthcare or similar regulated environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse end-users.
