About the Role
The Field Service Engineer role is based in Surabaya, East Java, and involves providing critical technical support for Roche's medical devices and laboratory equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of our diagnostic systems within the local healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of Roche diagnostic instruments and associated systems.
- Respond to service requests and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently to minimize downtime for our customers.
- Document service activities accurately and maintain detailed records of equipment performance and repairs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical training to end-users on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Technical degree (BSc/BA) in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Biomedical) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in field service engineering, particularly with medical or laboratory equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently in a remote location and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours for emergency support as required.
