Tax and Accounting Specialist

TheTax and Accounting Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and regulatory compliance of our operations. This position involves managing core accounting functions and providing essential support for tax-related activities, demanding meticulous accuracy and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles and a keen understanding of relevant tax laws and procedures.

About the Role

This role is central to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring adherence to all applicable tax regulations. The specialist will work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the smooth operation of the accounting department while supporting the broader financial objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of various tax returns (e.g., corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax) and ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to provide necessary information and clarification.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting and tax compliance, ideally within a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all financial tasks.
• Deep understanding of Indonesian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
