About the Role

The Project Officer (Electroplating) will be responsible for the end-to-end management of assigned electroplating projects. This includes developing new chemical surface finishing techniques, optimizing existing processes, conducting rigorous testing, and ensuring project deliverables meet stringent quality standards. Collaboration with researchers, engineers, and technicians is essential to translate scientific concepts into practical, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine chemical surface finishing processes, including electroless plating, electroplating, and electrochemical etching techniques.
  • Design, plan, and execute electroplating project work plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Perform laboratory experiments, analyze results, and troubleshoot process issues to achieve project objectives.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including technical reports and process specifications.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate electroplating solutions into broader research initiatives.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Material Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience or strong knowledge in electroplating processes and chemical surface finishing techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and optimize complex chemical processes.
  • Excellent laboratory skills and proficiency in experimental design and data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
